Edicy was launched in 2008 by the Estonian company Fraktal, founded in Tartu, Estonia, by Tõnu Runnel, Priit Haamer, Toivo Annus and Märt Kelder — some of whom were key figures in the founding of Skype. In 2014, Edicy was officially rebranded as Voog.
